Ibrahim Salah of Stade Rennais is on Arsenal’s transfer list, according to reports from Morocco.

He has scored four goals in 15 games this season, mainly on the left, but also at times as a left-back and striker.

Salah joined the Ligue 1 club in January from KAA Gent and has already made several appearances for Rennes. That has not stopped Arsenal and other clubs from chasing him.

According to Le360 Sport, the Gunners are “interested” in the versatile midfielder, so much so that they “sent officials” to watch him live “during a recent appearance” for the French club.

In the latest window, “several clubs” were said to be in talks with the Moroccan, including Lille, Valencia and an unnamed Belgian club.
Le360 Sport does not indicate whether Mikel Arteta’s team have already made contact or intend to make contact shortly to sign Salah. It is also not clear whether Salah would be willing to leave his current employer in the coming windows.

Salah’s contract runs until 2028 and Transfermarkt value him at €5 million. If Arsenal were to go ahead with his signature, they would be in line for a cheap deal.
