Academy summer signings Callan Hamill and Demiane Agustien trained with the Arsenal first-team today.
16-year-old defender Hamill has settled in quickly at Arsenal and has already established himself as captain of the U18s, while 18-year-old midfielder Agustien has featured prominently for the U21s.
Agustien isn’t eligible to be called up for tomorrow night’s Champions League game away to Athletic Bilbao but could be involved in the UEFA Youth League game against the same opponents. The same scenario also applies to Hamill.
Jack Porter trained with the first-team as the fourth-choice goalkeeper in the absence of Alexei Rojas, who has been called up to the Colombia U20 squad.
First year scholar Bowen Phillips, a midfielder, was involved in the second part of the session along with winger Charles Sagoe Jr and midfielder Theo Julienne.
Third-choice goalkeeper Tommy Setford is likely to join Kepa Arrizabalaga in being named on the bench for the first-team tomorrow.
Max Dowman was involved in training and the 15-year-old would become the youngest player in Champions League history if he features tomorrow.
Via Sky Sports, first-team defender William Saliba was involved in training but Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard weren’t present.
