Confirmed: Maldini Kacurri joins Morecambe on loan

Arsenal defender Maldini Kacurri has joined National League club Morecambe on loan until January.

Kacurri made his senior debut for Arsenal against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last season and also recently featured for Albania at senior level.

The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Bromley in League Two, where he made three appearances.

Kacurri has been given the number five shirt at Morecambe and his physical qualities should be of good use during this loan spell, while he will link up with former Gunner Miguel Azeez.

Arsenal U21s already have several centre-back options in the likes of Brayden Clarke, Will Sweet and Marli Salmon, with Callan Hamill and Samuel Onyekachukwu capable of providing depth to the squad.
