Arsenal goalkeeper Alexei Rojas has been named in the Colombia squad for the U20 World Cup, as confirmed by Arsenal.
The tournament will take place in Chile from September 27 until October 19.
Colombia are in Group F and will take on Saudi Arabia, Norway and Nigeria.
Prior to the tournament Colombia will play friendlies against Paraguay and Mexico.
Rojas, 19, hasn’t made a competitive appearance for Arsenal at youth level for over a year but has frequently been called up by Colombia.
He has made six appearances for Colombia at U20 level and was part of the squad for the 2023 U20 World Cup but didn’t feature.
Rojas is effectively the fourth-choice goalkeeper for the Arsenal first-team and was named on the bench against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup last season.
His involvement with Colombia could give other young goalkeepers the chance to train with the first-team, with the likes of Remy Mitchell, Jack Porter and Khari Ranson in contention.
