The likes of Karl Hein, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga continued to train with the squad.
Goalkeepers Tommy Setford and Alexei Rojas also trained.
Dowman, operating on the right wing, impressed during the session and set up Viktor Gyokeres with an impressive cross.
Oleksandr Zinchenko and Leandro Trossard were deployed at right-back and up front respectively in the absence of Ben White and Kai Havertz.
Arsenal host Leeds United on Saturday.
