Chloe Kelly confirms Manchester City departure

Chloe Kelly has confirmed her departure from Manchester City on her Instagram account. The England international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal, officially departed City with her contract expiring on June 30.

On her Instagram account, she wrote, ‘Over and out. I want to take this moment to acknowledge the good in my time at City. The unwavering support from the fans and the relationships formed with the girls and wider support staff, you’ve helped to shape me to become the person I am today, I’ll be forever grateful to these people.

‘Memories created and lessons learned. All stories should have happy endings, now it’s time to look to the future, love to all, CK.’ The player is now expected to join Arsenal on a contract thought to be until 2028, as first reported by David Ornstein in the Athletic. Kelly enjoyed an excellent loan spell with the Gunners, becoming a key first choice player in the team that eventually won the Champions League. Ironically she initially left Arsenal on the same day as fellow academy graduate Taylor Hinds back in 2018…
