Arsenal have confirmed that Swedish forward Lina Hurtig will leave the club this summer upon the expiry of her contract. The Swede signed from Juventus in the summer of 2022 but has endured an injury hit spell in North London, making 36 appearances and scoring seven goals.
Hurtig scored a late winner against her former club Juventus in the Champions League group stages which helped the Gunners to top their group. However, she has once again been scuppered by a series of muscular injuries that have prevented her from playing much in the second half of the season.
With the final home game of the season on Saturday, other squad players whose contracts are expiring and will not be renewed are likely to be announced ahead of the game.
