Arsenal have confirmed that Swedish playmaker Rosa Kafaji has joined Brighton on loan for next season. Michelle Agyemang joined Dario Vidosic’s side on loan last season and she is also set to rejoin the South Coast club too.
Kafaji signed from Hacken last summer but found her opportunities limited, exacerbated by an ankle injury she suffered in the second half of last season. She made 19 appearances last season, scoring one goal.
Brighton play an attacking brand of football under a coach with a good record of developing young players and Kafaji will benefit from playing and training alongside Fran Kirby with the Seagulls.
Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic said, ‘She’s a versatile attacker who shows plenty of promise in the front line. She’s a fantastic addition to the team for our new campaign and we’re excited to see her integrate within our squad and style of play.’
