Christian Norgaard finally made his first competitive start for Arsenal in their League Cup clash against Port Vale, admitting afterwards that he had been waiting patiently for the opportunity.
Signed from Brentford as a replacement for Thomas Partey, who declined a new contract with the club, Norgaard was brought in swiftly as part of Arsenal’s midfield rebuild. With Jorginho and Partey both departing in the same transfer window, his arrival was seen as a vital step in reinforcing the squad with experience and reliability.
As one of the most seasoned players in the current group, Norgaard is viewed as an ideal profile to strengthen a midfield that combines youthful energy with established leadership.
