Arsenal Women UWCL draw opponents revealed

Arsenal Women will play Lyon, Real Madrid and Twente at home and Bayern Munich, Benfica and OH Leuven away from home in this year’s UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase. The Gunners, who won the competition for the second time in May and were therefore in Pot 1, will play two games in October, two in November and two in December in this year’s revamped competition.

The Women’s Champions League this year transitions to the ‘Swiss model’ deployed by the men’s competition, with 18 teams contesting the league phase, playing six games each, three at home and three away.

Arsenal have been paired with Lyon (H) and Bayern Munich (a) from Pot 1, Real Madrid (H) and Benfica (a) from Pot 2 and Twente (H) and OH Leuven (a) from Pot 3 with precise dates for each fixture TBC tomorrow. Below are the dates put aside for UWCL games

7/8 October: Matchday 1
14/15 October: Matchday 2
11/12 November: Matchday 3
18/19 November: Matchday 4
9/10 December: Matchday 5
16/17 December: Matchday 6
