“Not Good for Him” – Ex-Gunner Advises Eze Against Arsenal Switch

Crystal Palace forward and long-term Arsenal target Eberechi Eze has been urged to reject a move to the Gunners this summer. The England international has been heavily linked with a transfer to north London throughout the window, with the Gunners said to be firm admirers of the former QPR midfielder.

The club are reportedly planning to make the 27-year-old their final signing of the summer, capping off a busy window. Credible reports have cited discussions already taking place between Arsenal and the player’s representatives. While the Gunners are said to be cautious about a significant financial outlay after signing six players already, a move for the flashy forward remains firmly on the table.

That said, the former Arsenal academy player has now been advised to snub the transfer and instead continue enjoying his ‘freedom’ at Crystal Palace.

Silvestre warns Eze over competition at Arsenal

Former Manchester United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre has cautioned Eze about the intense competition he would face at the Emirates.

“Eberechi Eze to Arsenal? I don’t think it’d be good for him, to be honest, because there is a lot of competition and because he has so much joy and freedom at Crystal Palace,” Silvestre told Hajper via Football London.

“Going to Arsenal would, I think, be difficult because of the competition for places. But I like him a lot. Since his early days, he has been terrific. It’s a shame he’s had quite a lot of muscle injuries and he’s missed some parts of the season. But whenever he’s fit and ready, he is a top player.”

A risky decision – but could Eze elevate Arteta’s attack?

Concerns have already been raised over where Eze would fit into Mikel Arteta’s starting eleven. Arsenal are already well-stocked in midfield, and the arrival of Noni Madueke has bolstered the forward line further.

However, Eze would still represent a fantastic addition. His versatility would allow him to contribute across multiple roles, and his unique profile would bring something fresh to both midfield and attack. His flair, creativity and dynamism are qualities Arsenal fans would welcome.

Whether or not a deal materialises remains to be seen. Palace are reportedly growing confident of keeping hold of their prized asset, perhaps a clear sign of hesitation or reduced intent from Arsenal at this stage.

Would that be a disappointing end to Arsenal’s summer transfer window for you?

Or do you agree with Silvestre that Eze is better staying put at Palace?
