Talented midfielder Ife Ibrahim ready for another year of progress

Ife Ibrahim’s first season as a scholar at Arsenal was hugely impressive, with the midfielder producing some excellent displays at U18 level.

Effective at breaking up play and locating his team-mates with short, snappy passes, the 17-year-old also has good physical qualities for his age.

Ibrahim has already made his debut for the U19s and been named on the bench for the U21s in addition to having trained with the first-team.

With pre-season approaching Ibrahim, who progressed through the ranks at Hale End, could be set for a significant summer.

Arsenal U21s currently have a lack of options in defensive midfield, with Jack Henry-Francis having been released while second year scholar Zac Shuaib wasn’t offered a professional contract.

Harrison Dudziak could potentially operate deep in midfield but he is also capable of playing in a more advanced position.

Therefore, an opportunity could soon open up for Ibrahim to become a key component of the U21 team, which in turn could lead to Teshaun Murisa featuring prominently in midfield for the U18s.

Ibrahim certainly seems ready to make the step up to the U21s and first-team involvement in some capacity isn’t beyond the realms of possibility either.

If he is able to take his chance then Ibrahim could soon start to make further progress very quickly.
