15-year-old Max Dowman made his senior debut and won a penalty as Arsenal thrashed Leeds United 5-0 in the Premier League today.
Dowman entered the fray in the 64th minute and had a couple of attempts before he won a penalty from which Viktor Gyokeres scored late on.
By being brought on Dowman became Arsenal’s second youngest player of all time behind Ethan Nwaneri, who was 15 years old and 181 days when he made his debut against Brentford in 2022.
Dowman featured aged 15 years and 235 days and is the youngest player to play for Arsenal in a home game.
The winger has now played more minutes in the Premier League than he has done in Premier League 2.
It represents another milestone for Dowman, who played for the U18s aged 13 and the U21s aged 14.
Jurrien Timber and Gyokeres both scored braces, with Bukayo Saka also on target.
