First-team debut is deserved reward for Andre Harriman-Annous

Andre Harriman-Annous enjoyed a hugely eventful 2024/25 season as he made an impact at various levels and he has already chalked off a significant milestone for this campaign.

As Arsenal faced Newcastle United in Singapore yesterday the 17-year-old entered the fray as a substitute to make his senior debut.

For a player who progressed all the way through the ranks at Hale End achieving such a feat is extra special.

Harriman-Annous has featured in various positions for the academy but last season there seemed to be a focus on mainly deploying him as a central striker.

That was where he was used against Newcastle and he gave a good account of himself, working very hard out of possession and closing down goalkeeper John Ruddy.

Harriman-Annous will be aiming for further minutes in pre-season and looking further ahead he will hope that a competitive debut isn’t too far away, with the Carabao Cup a competition in which he could potentially feature.

Having been involved in many first-team training sessions last season Harriman-Annous has now received his first minutes on the pitch, which will certainly give him the incentive for more.
