Arsenal’s Swedish attacking midfielder is set to join Brighton & Hove Albion on loan next season- as reported first by Amanda Zaza in Sportbladet in Sweden.
According to our information, Arsenal’s position at the end of last season was that they would be prepared to loan Kafaji out but were not prepared to sell the 21-year-old, who they bought from Hacken last summer.
Kafaji found playing time restricted after the departure of Jonas Eidevall last autumn and the player also struggled with an ankle injury at the end of last season. She had a minor procedure on the issue over this summer that ruled her out of the Euros.
Arsenal see the loan as a way of supporting her development with more regular minutes and see her as a key player for the future. Brighton also took Michelle Agyemang on loan last season under Australian coach Dario Vidosic.
