The biggest question among Gooners right now is: is this the league campaign we finally win it?

It has been a frustrating few seasons for Arsenal, coming agonisingly close, only to finish runners-up each time.

Something had to change. And this summer, the club has shifted its approach.

Long accused of lacking bravery in the transfer market, the Gunners have gone on a full-blown spending spree, bolstering almost every key position.

One area where a reinforcement was much welcomed is in striking.

Since losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal have craved a top goal-scoring forward but failed to land one.

Without a clinical striker, the team has often lacked a cutting edge, struggling to kill off games they should have comfortably won.

Attacking Struggles A Thing Of The Past?

In Viktor Gyökeres, fresh off a staggering 54-goal campaign in 52 games, Arteta may finally have found his hitman. But has he?

Gooners will hope Gyökeres can replicate Erling Haaland’s impact at City and fire Arsenal to league glory.

Even though ex-Premier League star Tim Cahill is still not convinced Arsenal will win the league despite having the Sporting CP man.

He insists that if Arsenal had Haaland, the title would be theirs.

Speaking on the Takes From The Terrace podcast, Cahill said:

“Everybody wants Arteta to [win it], but again, when you look at clubs and you look at squads, Man City is the most complete squad.

“And you have got Haaland. If you were to pick Haaland up and put him in Arsenal, who wins the league? You would say Arsenal.”

With Haaland’s goal-scoring antics in the Premier League, it is hard to argue with Cahill’s logic.

Isn’t Gyökeres Arsenal’s Haaland?

But with Gyökeres, do Arsenal now have their own Haaland?

The 27-year-old still has to prove he is cut out for the Premier League.

He has doubters to silence.

And if goals are what is needed for Arsenal to finally clinch the title, the Swede, if he replicates his Sporting form, could be the answer.

As good as Arsenal were last season, Gyökeres does not need to be perfect.

If he is even half as effective as expected, he could be the difference-maker in a side that is ready to fire on all cylinders.

What do you think, Gooners – is Gyökeres the missing piece who can finally fire Arsenal to Premier League glory?
