Following the closure of the summer transfer window, Arsenal’s attempt to sign a Juventus player has come to light. The Gunners enjoyed a productive summer window, barring the aspect of sales. The club committed around €300 million this summer alone, with Piero Hincapié’s deal an obligation to buy, signing eight players in the process. Some key areas were strengthened extensively, while depth was added across multiple positions on the pitch. A key area that the club sought to address was the left wing. Links to the likes of Rodrygo and Rafael Leao were a constant theme before Arsenal decided to snap up Eberechi Eze.
Arsenal’s approach for Kenan Yildiz
Prior to that, however, the Gunners made an attempt to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz. Arsenal and Chelsea initiated contact for the versatile forward early in the summer. The London clubs staged traditional transfer talks to test the waters, but it was to no avail as Juventus stood firm on their stance. The Turkish international has established himself as a cornerstone of the Juventus attack, hence why they deemed him untouchable this summer. The player is contracted to the club until 2029, but contract talks are expected to continue following the international break. This could pose a concern to the Gunners, especially if they plan to revisit a potential deal next summer.

Why Yildiz could be a future target
Kenan Yildiz has established himself as one of the most exciting young attackers in recent seasons. Naturally two footed, the forward has featured in a variety of positions in his early career. He is capable of playing across the frontline, while he has featured a bit deeper in the past as well. His profile, along with his age, makes him an ideal player the club should revisit in the future.
Thoughts, Gooners?
