Arsenal have appointed David Horseman as their new professional development phase elite player development coach, as reported by the club’s official website.
Horseman, 41, will take charge of Arsenal U19s’ remaining five games in the league phase of the UEFA Youth League and will also be in the dugout when the U21s take part in the EFL Trophy.
Max Porter will remain in charge of the U21s for league matches with Ken Gillard assisting him.
Horseman has experience of managing at senior level with Forest Green Rovers and he also had a spell in caretaker charge of Bristol Rovers.
Prior to that he worked at Southampton, where he coached the U23s before becoming assistant manager for the first-team.
He was also previously assistant manager at Bristol City and coached Watford’s U21 side. Horseman’s first major involvement in coaching came in charge of Bristol City’s U18s.
Horseman joined Manchester United in the summer as assistant coach at U21 level but has already departed to join Arsenal.
