Mariona Caldentey voted PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year

Arsenal midfielder Mariona Caldentey has been voted as the PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year for 2024-25. The Spaniard signed from Barcelona last summer and was a crucial part of the team that won the Champions League against her former club in the final.

Mariona was also voted the WSL Player of the Season, as well as the Arsenal.com and Arsenal Women’s Supporters’ Club Player of the Season. As well as this, new signing Olivia Smith has been voted as the Women’s PFA Young Player of the Year for her performances for Liverpool last season, which convinced Arsenal to break the world transfer record to secure her services.

Arsenal were also the best represented team in the PFA WSL Team of the Year with Emily Fox, Kim Little and Alessia Russo joining Mariona in the team of the season.
