Mariona wins Arsenal Women Supporters Club and Arsenal.com player of the season

Arsenal’s Spanish midfielder Mariona Caldentey won the Arsenal Women Supporters Club and the Mastercard Arsenal.com player of the season awards for 2024-25.

Mariona signed from Barcelona last summer and in her first WSL season, she has played the highest number of minutes (2,497), is second highest goalscorer with 15 goals, the joint highest assister with Katie McCabe on seven, level with Alessia Russo for goal contributions on 22, the highest number of progressive passes, second highest number of completed passes after Leah Williamson, second for key passes and second for passes into the final third, highest number of passes into the penalty area, the highest number of shot creating actions and the highest number of tackles and highest number of tackles won.

Mariona was voted as Arsenal’s Player of the Season by the supporters club and won the Mastercard award voted for by readers of Arsenal.com. She finished third in the Football Writers’ WSL Player of the Season and is nominated for the Barclays WSL Player of the Season. Congratulations to Mariona.
