Arsenal youngster Ceadach O’Neill, 17, called up to Northern Ireland U21 squad

Arsenal youngster Ceadach O’Neill has received his first callup to the Northern Ireland U21 squad.

The 17-year-old has enjoyed a superb start to the season with Arsenal U18s, for whom he has scored five goals in three games.

O’Neill mainly played as a winger for Arsenal U18s last season after joining from Linfield but is now impressing as a striker. He featured for Arsenal U21s in pre-season.

The prospect has been included in the Northern Ireland U21 squad for their European qualifier away to Georgia next month.

He has previously been called up by Northern Ireland at U19, U17 and U16 levels.

Meanwhile, defender Brayden Clarke has been named in the Wales U19 squad for games against Austria and Belgium.

Callan Hamill has been included in the Scotland U17 squad for their fixtures against Serbia, Portugal and Italy.
