Max Dowman has been named amongst the substitutes as Arsenal face Leeds United at home in the Premier League today.
The 15-year-old, who can play as a winger or an attacking midfielder, excelled during pre-season and has now received his first competitive callup.
He was the extra man for last weekend’s game away to Manchester United.
Dowman could become Arsenal’s second youngest first-team player ever behind Ethan Nwaneri.
By being named in the matchday squad today, Dowman is the first U16 player to be called up by Arsenal for a competitive game at Emirates Stadium.
