Michal Rosiak likely to leave Arsenal after contract expires

Michal Rosiak is set to leave Arsenal after his contract expired.

The 19-year-old, who can play in midfield or at right-back, was offered a new deal but is unlikely to sign fresh terms. His previous contract came to an end on June 30th.

Rosiak was named on the bench for the first-team away to Real Madrid last season and frequently trained with the senior squad in the second half of the campaign.

Having joined as a schoolboy in 2018, Rosiak progressed to scholarship terms in 2022 and became the first player from his intake to sign a professional contract.

Rosiak was part of the Arsenal U18 side that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in the 2022/23 season and made several key contributions during that run.

A free-kick specialist, he scored six goals in 31 appearances for Arsenal U21s and netted 16 times in 41 games at U18 level. He also featured in the UEFA Youth League on ten occasions.

Arsenal appear to have kept the number 52 shirt free in case Rosiak resigns but it appears unlikely that he will do so, especially as he wasn’t pictured in training with the U21 squad.
