Max Dowman was the only academy player to feature as the Arsenal first-team concluded their tour of Asia with a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong.
Dowman entered the fray in the 79th minute and again looked bright and had a shot deflected for a corner. In addition, the 15-year-old found Oleksandr Zinchenko with a neat pass.
Pape Matar Sarr scored the only goal for Tottenham just before half time with a long range effort which caught out David Raya.
Josh Nichols, Marli Salmon, Andre Harriman-Annous, Ismeal Kabia, Louie Copley and Alexei Rojas were all unused substitutes, with the latter trio not getting any minutes during pre-season.
Arsenal will now switch their focus to the two upcoming games at Emirates against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao.
It seems likely that Dowman will remain with the squad for those games and it will be intriguing to see what other youngsters are included.
