Arsenal U21 coach Mehmet Ali has left the club to become part of Keith Andrew’s’ first-team coaching staff at Brentford, as reported by The Athletic.
Ali, who previously worked for Reading, was initially appointed as U21 assistant coach to Kevin Betsy before taking charge himself in the summer of 2022.
During his time in charge he oversaw more than 100 matches.
Arsenal U21s reached the play-offs in Premier League 2 in each of the last two seasons but were eliminated in the quarter-finals on both occasions.
Assistant coach Max Porter could potentially be a candidate to replace Ali.
