After being on the bench for the defeat to Spain, Nygaard was named in the starting lineup for the 5-0 win against Montenegro.
Villum Berthelsen put Denmark in front, with Mike Themsen then scoring a brace. Jonathan Agyekum subsequently netted twice.
Denmark will take on Romania on Thursday in their final group game.
