Max Dowman, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Martin Zubimendi involved as Arsenal first-team start training

Max Dowman was involved as the Arsenal first-team returned to training today, as shown on the club’s official website.

Albert Sambi Lokonga, who is back from loan, also took part in the session wearing number 28.

New signings Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrziabalaga were also involved in the session.

Other first-team players that took part included: Trossard, Odegaard, Saka, Rice, White, Havertz, Merino, Calafiori, Saliba, Lewis-Skelly, Martinelli, Kiwior, Zinchenko.

Gabriel Jesus remains injured, while Ethan Nwaneri has been given time off after helping England U21s to win the European Championship at that age group.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Jurrien Timber, who were suffering with injuries at the end of last season, weren’t pictured in training.

Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson also weren’t pictured.

New first-team coaching staff member Gabriel Heinze was present.

It is expected that 15-year-old midfielder Dowman will be part of the squad for Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Singapore and Hong Kong.
