Goalkeeper Jack Porter has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal, the club have confirmed.
Porter, who turned 17 last month, has started all three games for Arsenal U18s this season.
Last season he became the youngest player ever to start for the Arsenal first-team when he featured against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup at Emirates Stadium at the age of 16. He is also the club’s second youngest ever player overall behind Ethan Nwaneri.
Porter, who joined Arsenal in 2020, progressed to scholarship terms in 2024.
He has made two appearances for Arsenal U21s and has featured for the U18s on 20 occasions.
Porter has also been capped by England at U17 level.
The youngster is the latest member of his scholarship intake group to sign a professional contract, following on from Andre Harriman-Annous, Theo Julienne, Ceadach O’Neill, Khari Ranson and Louis Zecevic John.
The remaining second year scholars are Sam Chapman, Ife Ibrahim, Alex Marciniak, Josh Ogunnaike and Samuel Onyekachukwu.
